Our Legacy
Devi Shakuntala Thakral Charitable Foundation
In the year 1995, Chairman Dr. K.L. Thakral laid the foundation of Oriental Group of Institutes, an independent self financed group to deliver the best quality education and cater the needs of the modern students in streams as Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, and Advanced Computer studies.
The group has colleges of repute in Indore, Bhopal, and Jabalpur, and has a very prominent presence in the Central region, transforming the lives of many students. Oriental Group is running under the Devi Shakuntala Thakral Charitable Foundation, Bhopal. It has always been the centre of attraction when it comes to seizing the opportunity whether to be as a teacher or a student who aims to carve out a successful career. The reputation of this Group in Central India as a placement hub has attracted many State and Central Government-Sponsored Projects, to the denominations of several lakhs.

As a Founder of The Oriental School and Oriental Group, I am duty-bound that every child of our school excels in his chosen field when he goes to college to acquire higher studies. The Oriental School always philosophies the purpose of life and believes in fulfilling the needs of every child. Since 1995, the Devi Shakuntala Thakral Charitable Foundation, Bhopal has set up charitable and educational objectives to promote the educational advancement in the field of Technical education. It further aims to propagate this at grass root level as well and has tried to do so through this amazing school. The mission of the advisory board is to contribute knowledge and influence not only the lives of its students, but even the academicians and researches, to support the continuing education and research in the field of education.
MR. SAS KIRMANI (Renowned educationalist with over 40 years of experience)
He is on advisory board of many schools and educational institutions to provide academic and administrative support system for emerging as well as existing schools. He was a member of the Draft Formulation Committee of Computer Literacy Awareness Program (CLASS) jointly sponsored by NCERT and Ministry of Education in the year 1984. In his initial years he has worked as senior physics faculty at D.P.S. R.K. Puram. Mr. Kirmani articulated, designed and implemented the Global Education and Training Model which has become the foundation for the huge success for students preparing for various entrance examinations.
MR. SHYAM JOSHI (Renowned Mathematician and National Level Trainer)
His journey began as a student from village school to become a successful Physics teacher later. During his stint as a teacher, he has coached several students preparing for various competitive examinations. His immense contribution in the field of analytical reasoning and quantitative aptitude has become the backbone of new generation Olympiads.
DR. VINITA (Counsellor, Child Psychology & Parental Needs )
Dr. Vinita has been instrumental in putting ideas to execution, which is the common driving force at The Oriental School. She has focused on developing exceptional capabilities in the global mapping arena.
She holds a Doctorate in Toxicology from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and MBA (HR) from Newport University, California. She has organized several workshops, seminars and counselling sessions for the children.She strongly believes that education must be socially oriented and in the direction of meeting social needs.
